Nowadays, injection mold products are widely used in life production, and manufacturers have an increasing demand for injection molds. Therefore, the daily maintenance of the mold is very important. The manufacturer shares the method of maintaining and maintaining the mold for everyone, I hope it will be helpful to you!

Maintenance of cap molds

In the continuous working process of the mold, mold maintenance is required due to the wear of parts, lubricant deterioration, water leakage, crush injury of plastic materials and other problems caused by the movement process.

Daily mold maintenance includes the following aspects:

1. Regular rust removal (appearance, PL surface, mold cavity, core, etc.)

2. Refill the lubricant regularly (ejection mechanism, row position, etc.)

3. Replace wear parts (tie rods, bolts, etc.) regularly

4. Other points to note

The lower mold maintenance of the mold needs to be professionally tested and protected by professional maintenance personnel after the mold is removed and the mold cavity and ejector pin are professionally protected.

Protection of cap molds

Because the mold has the characteristics of specificity, precision, fragility, etc., it is very important to protect the safety of the mold, and the overall summary is as follows:

1. Anti-rust

Prevent rust caused by water leakage/condensation/rain/handprints in the injection molding machine mold.

2. Anti-collision

Prevent mold damage caused by broken ejector pins and not retracting into place.

3. Dethorn

Prevent mold burrs caused by cloth wipe/material punching/hand wipe/spout pliers touching/knife touching.

4. Missing pieces

Prevent mold damage during use due to missing parts such as tie rods/washers.

5. Pressure proof

Prevents mold crushing caused by mold locking due to still remaining product.

6. Undervoltage

Prevent damage to the mold caused by excessive low pressure protection pressure.

Among them, the proportion of mold damage caused by broken ejectors, ejector pins not retracted into place, mold residual products, lack of auxiliary parts is high, and because of more frequent occurrence, more than 85% of mold damage is caused by this reason, and mold maintenance costs are generally higher, so how to avoid such situations is directly related to the interests of the injection molding industry.

Precautions for maintenance of cap molds

1. When disassembling the mold, avoid bruising and water, and move smoothly.

2. Spray the hot mold and then spray a small amount of mold release agent.

3. To thoroughly inspect the mold and carry out anti-rust treatment: carefully wipe the moisture and debris on the cavity, core, ejection mechanism and row position, etc., and spray the mold rust inhibitor and apply butter.
